I often find myself missing you. No matter where I am. Of course the summertime photograph and francophone message were purposeful reminders

Same. I miss you terribly. Now that you're in some faraway place, it's
really hit me hard, which may sound strange, because it's not like we
hang out (or even speak to each other), but still... it's been
difficult. However, there is no place for that. There is only room for
me to be happy for you. You are doing your thing. You deserve this.
You are worthy of great adventures, interesting work, inspiring
places, new people, everything, all of it.

Unsure just how inspiring this place is / wants / chooses to be. The farm is a fucking dump. I feel this isn't 'just my "'city-boy' roots"' saying this

There is trash everywhere. When we were in NY I watched a television show about people who hoard things. Trebs is a hoarder. Her husband Eric looks like Chunk but with grey hair or like a Far Side character. He seems to wear his ratty Far Side shirt with a self-aware pride

There are 9 dogs, including our Rudy, some of whom are amazingly sweet (my 2nd favorite is a small, mild-mannered mutt called Page), 4 cows, 3 pigs, ~50 sheep, ~15 lambs, a mule called Rachel, a donkey called Elijah, several chickens, 3 female turkeys and a male turkey called Tom who stalks and attacks me whenever I'm not paying close enough attention

There are 2 others working here, Hal and Matt. Both are in trouble with the law and devoted conspiracy theorists. Hal is the one who looks like Jesus. Matt is the one who looks like he stopped searching for new music right around the time the Internet was invented. He has already told me his "high-in-the-sky method" for growing weed (VIA money making scheme) twice with little to no variation in his words

There have been numerous house guests here since we arrived ~50 hours ago. Trebs's sister is a crass, retired gov employee. David is an older gay man who eyed me at lunch yesterday while suggestively eating asparagus and later gripped the table in front of me a little too close because I knew who Titian was

Hal is going to build an airship. I am invited to come with him. Trebs hi-fived me today and I felt fake for accepting. Sarah and I hid in our room the first few hours. I sat quietly while Sarah held back tears. This is her life. I just came along for the hell of it. I feel strange and guilty
